PURPOSE:To allow preparation of a circuit diagram and artwork data with ease by providing a converting means to convert the picture data as the output data from an existing mechanical drawing CAD system into the image preparation command using those which can providing the graphic elements of the existing mechanical drawing CAD system with attributive information. CONSTITUTION:Picture data processing section 10 inputs two dimensional lines, arcs, etc. from keyboard 2 and line pen 3, etc., picture editing section 13 displays a graphic on graphic display 4, circuit diagram of printed circuit board is also input. Picture data processing section 10 inputs two dimensional lines, arcs, etc. also executes graphic input processing of circuit diagrams for printed circuit boards while displaying figures on graphic display 4. Picture data processing section 10 is designed to provide individual input lines and arcs with attributive data using an attributive input section 11. As such processing is usually supported by a general mechanical drawing CAD system, in embodiment of this invention, an existing CAD system can be used as picture data processing section 10.
