Guanidine cpds. of formulae (I)-(IV) and their salts and tautomers are new: (in (I) X1 is COMe, halogen, CN, CH2CN, C(OH)2CF3, OCHF2, OCF3, Me, SMe, CF3, NO2, OCF2CHF2, OMe, NMe2, COOMe or CH2OR3; Y1 is H, halogen or Me; Z1 is H, Me, halogen, OMe or CF3; R1 is H or Me; R3 is H or Me; provided that, if X1 is Me, OMe, F, Cl or Br, and R1 is H, Y1 and Z1 are not both H; and if X1 is Cl and Z1 and R1 are both H, Y1 is not Me; in (II) X2 is H, OH, opt. branched 1-4C alkoxy, SMe, halogen, OCF3, CF3, opt. branched 1-4C alkyl, tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl or tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl oxy; Y2 is H or F; Z2 is F, H, Me or OMe; W2 is H or F; m is 0, 1 or 2; R2 is H, Me, Et or CF3, provided that if m is o and R2 is H or Me, W2, X2, Y2 and Z2 are not all H; and if m is 1, R2, W2, X2, Y2 and Z2 are not all H; in (III) X3 is OMe, Me, halogen or CF3; Y3 is H, OH or halogen; Z3 is H or Cl; provided that if X3 and Y3 are each Cl, Br or I, Z3 is not H, and that if X3 is Me, and Z3 is H, Y3 is not Cl; and in (IV) W4 is H or F.
