Shoe sole prodn. in expanded ethyl-vinyl acetate polymers

The components, consisting of ethyl-vinyl acetate copolymer modified by materials such as polyethylene, ethylene-propylene copolymer or polyisoprene, fillers and colourants are weighed out and mixed. Crosslinking and blowing agents are homogenised together or separately at an initial temp. of 90 deg.C and final temp. of 140 deg.C. - Mixt. is sheeted and shaped into preforms for placing in the moulds in which vulcanisation takes place at around 170 deg.C under approx. 90 kg/sq.cm. pressure.
