Oxazolidine derivs. of formula (I) are new: R = 1-10C haloalkyl, 1-20C alkyl, 1-6C cycloalkyl, 1-6C haloalkenyl or 1-6C alkylthio; X = 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, 1-4C haloalkyl or halooen; n = 1-5; provided that when X=CF3, R is not 3-chloropropyl. - Also claimed are herbicidal compsns. contq. a thiocarbamate of formula (II) or an acetanilide of formula (III) and an effective amt. of (I). R1 = 1-6C alkyl; R2 = 1-6C alkyl or cyclohexyl; or R1+R2= 4-10C alkylene; R3 = 1-6C alkyl, haloalkyl (halo=Cl, Br or I), 2-6C alkenyl, (opt. substd. by +Cl, Br or I), or benzyl (opt. substd. by Cl, Pr or I); R4 and R6 = 1-4C alkyl; P5 = 1-4C alkoxyalkyl.
