The aid starts water-cooled engines at low temperatures in one or more vehicles, delivering preheated cooling fluid under pressure into the cooling system. The receiving vehicle has a union with a valve (17) on the pressure side of the cooling circuit (14) and upstream of a cab heater (16). - A second such union with a valve (18) is mounted on the suction side of the cooling system.
