PURPOSE:To offer a supervonic wall-thickness measuring apparatus available for on-line automatic processing, by executing necessary calibration of the apparatus only with inputs of material of a specimen, target thickness, sound velocity in the specimen. CONSTITUTION:A necessary gain is introduced into a gain setting terminal 50 of automatic gain controlling amplifier 48 basing upon material and target wall-thickness of the specimen and sound velocity of the material of the speci men is introduced into an input unit 56A of a calculating unit 56 of a time/ voltage converting circuit 54 and the circuit 54 is calibrated in such a way that measuring pulse width/voltage converting rate at the time of this sound velocity is realized. Further, the A/D convertor 58 converts an input voltage signal into a digital signal and a wall-thickness measured value allows a digital display to a display 60 and the signal is supplied to end of the force 62A of the deviation computer 62 and a difference of a measurement value representing shown by an output of the A/D convertor 58 and the wall-thickness target value is calculated to be introduced to a D/A convertor 64 and an analog- recorder 66 takes a change of the measured value around an integer value of the wall, thickness target value. |
