PURPOSE:To execute highly sensitive and rapid processing stably and easily by arranging a color developing tank, a fixing tank, a bleaching/fixing tank, and a stabilizing tank successively as the treating tanks of an automatic developing machine, setting up the volume of the treating solution in each treating tank less than a specific volume and setting up the dissolved distance concentration in each treating tank to a specific value or more. CONSTITUTION:A color photosensitive material, i.e. an exposed and undeveloped film 2 or a color paper 3, is fed from a feeding part 4, sent to the color developing tank 6, the fixing tank 7a, the bleaching/fixing tank 7b, the 1st stabilizing tank 8, the 2nd stabilizing tank 9, and the 3rd stabilizing tank 10 successively and finally dried by a drying room 11. The treating solution in each tank is set up 50l or less and the dissolved substance concentration in each tank is set up to 500ppm or more to treat the photosensitive material. All the treating tanks are provided with forced solution circulating devices and filtering devices respectively and a washing tank for washing the photosensitive material with running water and a heat exchange type cooling device are omitted. Thus, the small-sized and stabilized automatic developing machine reduced at the using quantity of water and providing highly keepable pictures can be obtained.
