The prefabricated frame for a door or window in a building comprises a lintel, two uprights and a threshold cast in one piece and accommodating the joinery. The uprights (2) and lintel (1) have a rear shoulder (4) extending for roughly 1/3rd of their width, for locking into engagement with the masonry, the frame being delivered fully equipped. The outside surfaces of the uprights can have flat transverse notches to accommodate hinge feet (7, 8). In the notches there can be tapped sockets cast into the concrete for feet anchor bolts. Stops on the bolts from anchoring devices engaging in the masonry. |
