摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the force that prevents the formation of lubricating film due to the tangential flow of supply lubricating liquid by providing an inclined surface on the sliding surface toward the pad side that is the entrance side of lubricating liquid flowing toward the sliding surface of the pad. CONSTITUTION:An inclined surface 6s is provided on the pad 6 of a thrust bearing, and the shape of the inclined surface 6s is made so as to be a triangular comprised of three straight lines which the inclined surface 6s forms with an outer circumferential side surface 6c, a lubricating liquid entrance side 6b and a sliding surface 6a, respectively. The tangential flow of lubricating liquid flowed into the pad part becomes flow A to strike the inclined surface 6s of the pad. Thus, liquid force P acts on the inclined surface in the perpendicular direction to the surface. This force P has a component force to rotate the pad 6 making the point T of a pad pin 7 as a center. The component force acts on the pad so as to tilt it in the direction in which lubricating oil enters when theta becomes small, and generates a moment to assist the formation of lubricating film.
