NEW MATERIAL:The organic germanium compound having the following physical properties. Appearance, white amorphous powder; melting point, 122-126 deg.C; elemental analysis (%), C 51.90, H 5.66, O 18.82, Ge 32.20 (as GeO2); UV spectrum (100mg/l acetonitrile solution), exhibits absorption peak at 221nm; etc, USE:Analgesic and anti-inflammatory, having extremely low toxicity. PREPARATION:The objective compound can be prepared according to the reaction formula, by reacting p-isobutyl-alpha-methylenephenylacetic acid with trichlorogermane in an organic solvent to effect the hydrogermanation reaction and hydrolyzing the resultant trichlorogermanium compound.
