PURPOSE:To provide a clutch device which may be smoothly engaged upon rotation, by constituting the clutch device with a cam means between a clutch ring and a cam ring, and a bias means disposed between the cam ring and an input shaft. CONSTITUTION:A clutch means 11 and a cam means 15 are disposed between a chain wheel 5 and a clutch ring 9, and between the clutch ring 9 and a cam ring 13, respectively. A leaf spring 19 as a bias means is disposed in the gap 17 between the cam ring 13 and the inner race of a bearing 3, and the cam ring 13 is urged in the thrust direction toward the cam means. Accordingly, the cam means is exerted with a pressing force in the thrust direction to the chain wheel 5, and therefore, the input shaft is smoothly engaged with the rotary member even upon rotation by moving the clutch ring. |
