PURPOSE:To improve operability, by a method wherein it is detected that a document is set to an insertion part, and in combination with an output signal provided after elapse of a given time set by a timer, decision is effected to automatically start the feed of the document. CONSTITUTION:When the set condition of an auto mode is satisfied, the output of a circuit U1 is reduced to a low level, an auto mode signal is set from a circuit U3 for holding. When an output is sent from a timer T, the feed of a document is started, a reproducible signal and a document set signal are reduced to a low level, by an auto mode signal is held in a set condition. After given reproduction motion, a reproducible signal is increased to a high level, and in which case, if a document set signal is a high level, the feed of the document is started a time T0 later. If an abnormal signal or an ADF jam signal is increased to a high level, the output of a circuit U2 is increased to a high level and the output of a circuit U3 is reduced to a low level, and an auto mode signal is reset to bring a machine into a stop. |
