PURPOSE:To increase the use rate of an inexpensive fine powdery iron ore without lowering the yield of a sintered ore by increasing a coke compounding quantity in a sintered raw material when manufacturing the sintered ore from powder iron ores. CONSTITUTION:When manufacturing sintered ores for blast furnace by using the powdery iron ores, cokes, sintered return ores as raw materials, the quantity of a sinter feed having 50mum-8mm particle size which is comparatively rough as an iron ore is decreased, and a pellet feed which has the high content of Fe and is inexpensive, but whose particle size is <=50mum is increased to 30-40% as to its quantity. At the same time, the quantity of coke compounded in the sintered raw material is increased to 3.2-3.5% from 3.0%, and the shortage of heat in case when the pellet feed is used is replenished, by which the sintering property is improved, the yield drop of the sintered ore caused by increasing the quantity of the pellet feed is prevented, and the manufacturing cost of the sintered ore is reduced.
