PURPOSE:To detect the movement, namely, the position of a moving object from the initial position, by generating two phases of sine wave signals having a phase difference of 90 deg. spatially according to the movement of a moving body to detect voltage values. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 2 within a computer outputs a hold command (d) to sample holding circuits 31 and 32 to sample and hold values of sine wave signals Va and Vb based on a timing signal inputted from a timer 1 at each fixed cycle. In the meantime, analog values of the sine wave signals Va and Vb are converted into digital values with a specified accuracy with respective A/D converters 41 and 42 and the resulting values are passed through a bus (e) at each specified cycle to be inputted into a processor 2. These digital inputs are used as values of Va and Vb to compute the value of alpha with the value of V as zero by the processor 2 at each cycle. Then, this value alpha provides positional information as obtained when one cycle of sine wave is interpolatively divided linearly by a specified number of division. |
