PURPOSE:To correct the electrically deviation of position of each color sensor by forming a reference pattern on a prescribed position, detecting a relative deviation of the said reference pattern from the read signal of each color and correcting the deviation in reading both the signals. CONSTITUTION:One block line 16 is arranged at the edge of a platen face 14 in parallel with the main scanning direction M, the platen face 14 is irradiated by a light source 11, the image is formed by the 1st, 2nd 3rd image sensor 17, 18, 19, and after a read signal of each color, the signal is subject to a color mis-alignment correction circuit 10, from which a picture signal without color mis-alignment.
