PURPOSE:To eliminate temperature irregularity by providing a flow divider under a sample holder fitting frame and allowing circulation air to flow in the center part of the periphery of a xenon lamp without contacting the surface of a sample. CONSTITUTION:The xenon lamp 1 is suspended in the center part of a test chamber 13 and sample holders 15 and 16 are provided at its periphery. The flow divider 24, on the other hand, consists of a double cylinder composed of an external cylinder and a larger internal cylinder, and an annular bottom plate, and the internal cylinder is set inside the sample surface at distance so that air which flows up does not strike the sample surface. Then, air from a blower exits from the discharge port of the gap between a rotating body 17 and an air blowing box 27 and flows toward the flow divider 24. The majority of the air flows to the reverse side of the sample along the external cylinder to maintain the temperature of the sample. The rest of the air flows to the peripheral part of the lamp 1 along the internal cylinder, but never contacts the surface of the sample. In this case, the air after being divided 24 comes together at the upper part of the test chamber and enters a thermostatic chamber 30 through an air regulator 29, and the air flows from the blower 26 to the flow divider 24 to circulate.
