Ground roller, which has a rotationally symmetrical roller casing, closed on its tread surface, and extensions projecting beyond the roller casing, combined in annular groups and arranged at a distance from one another and which is mounted rotatably in a frame, there engaging in the clearances between the individual groups of extensions strippers which are arranged on mountings and which readjust themselves automatically. In order essentially to improve the automatic readjustment of the strippers, whilst ensuring that the perfect functioning of the ground roller is preserved, the strippers (7) are arranged readjustably in such a way that the included angle of incidence ( alpha ) between tangential plane (4) drawn through the contact point (8) of the stripper (7) on the roller casing (2) of the ground roller (1) and the stripper (7) varies at least negligibly during the automatic readjustment of the stripper (7). <IMAGE>
