PURPOSE:To shorten the time for roller adjustment by supporting a shaft to support a burnishing roller with a pivot bearing for provision of rotatability, and thereby allowing the burnishing roller to make automatic tracing in accordance with the lead angle of the thread of a work to be processed. CONSTITUTION:A rubber piece 5 to control the press load is furnished in the shaft cylinder 4 of a burnishing roller, and a plate 7 to support balls for pivot bearing 6a, 6b is installed at the end of this rubber piece 5, and epoxy resin metals 8a, 8b are provided so as to support the shaft cylinder 4 of burnishing roller in the direction A as screw feeding. Accordingly if the burnishing roller 2 is put in adjustment in the thread bottom of the work to be processed 3, as supported by the pivot bearings 6a, 6b and epoxy resin metals 8a, 8b, the lead angle of the thread is traced and the shaft cylinder 4 of burnishing roller rotates as well as the burnishing roller 2 follows the thread bottom automatically even in the feeding direction, A, to ensure that setting of burnishing roller is carried out in a short period of time under mass-production. |
