An improvement in the manoeuvrability of a watercraft, with an essentially disc-shaped floating body and a spindle provided with a shackle locked against rotation and a rudder connected to the shackle in such a way as to be locked against rotation, is achieved owing to the fact that the rudder is connected to the spindle via a toggle joint and can alternatively be raised above the water surface or let down again into a surface layer of the water via an actuating device for carrying out certain manoeuvres.
