Tangential belt control for a plurality of similar working units (4) arranged on at least one line, side to side, in a machine (1) for the production of twisted yarn. Along said belt control (10, 11), the working units are arranged in groups having approximatively the same number of units (4), for each group there being provided at least one electric motor (19, 23) and guiding means (14, 17, 20, 21) acting on the belts (10, 11). To reduce the power losses of such control, there is provided to substantially reduce both the width and the thickness of the tangential belt (10, 11), particularly by selecting its length between 7 and 14 mm and its width between 2 and 2,7 mm. This is possible by selecting the number of working units (4) of one group so that it is in relation with the power absorbed and with the admissible elongation of the belt. In a further development of the invention, the tangential belts (10, 11) of groups of adjacent units are guided by pulleys (15, 16, 20, 21) which are rigidly coupled together. |
