COMBINATION PIN FOR DIE CASTING

PURPOSE:To improve the mechanical strength of an ejector pin which fits freely into a stationary die and a hole-casting pin and to extend the life of the pins by inserting coaxially the hole-casting pin into the ejector pin and executing simultaneously the removal of a product form the dies and the retreat of the hole-casting pin. CONSTITUTION:The outside pin 1 which is the ejector pin to fit freely slidably into the stationary die 4 is supported by a holding member 7. The inside pin 2 which is the coaxial hole-casting pin is supported by a holding member 8 and is inserted into the pin 1. The outside pin advances upon advancing of a driving member 6 and the product 5 cast into a die cavity 5a is separated from the die 4. The pin 2 retreated relatively and simultaneously therewith to perfect a cast hole 5b in the product 5. The material sticking to the pin 2 is removed by the pin 1. The mechanical strength of the pins is improved by the combination of the two pins 1, 2 to one body, by which the life of the pins is considerably extended.
