In the case of such a snap holder, a clip 8 can be fixed in a lower part 3 and the wire 1 can be fixed by means of a snap device 10. In this case, it is desirable for a snap holder (which holds the wire such that it is protected against being pressed out transversely with respect to the length of the wire) to hold the wire such that it is optionally axially displaceable or axially non-displaceable in each case when the clip is fully inserted and fixed. This is achieved in that the clip 8 and lower part 3 are held against one another by means of a screw connection 13, it being possible to adjust the distance between the recesses 7 in the lower part and the opposing bearing edges 11 of the clip to two settings, and the limbs 9 of the clip 8 being arranged rotated through 90 DEG with respect to the lower part, and having claws 10 which form the opposing bearing edges 11.
