PURPOSE:To make the soldering of an extension line unnecessary and to improve an yield by press-contacting the electrode on both surfaces of a high polymer type piezo-electric material with the adhesives after the electrode and the extension line are formed in a single body on the same substrate having flexibility. CONSTITUTION:An array electrode 14, its extension line 18 and an extension terminal 16 are formed on the substrate 12 having flexibility. To the array electrode 18, a separately polarized high polymer system plate type piezo-electric material 10 is press- contacted with anisotropic conductive adhesives are press-contacted. At an extension part of the substrate 12, a common electrode 20 is formed, and the extension line 24 and the extension terminal 22 are formed. At the rear side of the substrate 12 forming the common electrode 20, an acoustic matching layer 28 is formed. The substrate 12 is bended with a symmetrical reference line 32, the plate type piezo-electric material 10 is sandwiched by using the array electrode part 14 and the common electrode part 20 of the substrate 12, and the section between the common electrode 20 and the piezoelectric material 10 is also press-contacted. A packing material 40 is bonded to the back surface of the array electrode 14 and the extension line part of the substrate 12 is bent. Thus, the soldering of the extension line is made unnecessary and the yield is improved. |
