PURPOSE:To display much more information on a small picture plane by storing respectively a character code for plural patterns' share received from a device to be controlled to a corresponding area of a reception character memory, reading sequentially the information of each area and displaying it. CONSTITUTION:A received character from a device 5 to be controlled is stored in a reception character storage memory 9. The memory 9 has plural areas 9-1, 9-2 storing the information for one picture plane's share of a display section 2, the reception character not added with the control code is stored in both the areas 9-1, 9-2, and the reception character added with the control code of character flickering is stored in the area 9-1 only and not stored in the area 9-2. A display program 10 reads sequentially the areas 9-1, 9-2 and displays the content on a display section 2. Various display methods such as flicker display or display replacement are attained by changing the storage content to each area.
