PURPOSE:To save the labour of swing-out work of a broadside ladder by disposing a broadside ladder at the broadside in such a manner that the ladder can be turnably swung up and down through the center of the end part thereof in the perpendicular direction with respect to a boat body and attaching both lifting up/down winches and a stopper which can be retained upright at the broadside. CONSTITUTION:A broadside ladder 1 is disposed at the broadside in such a manner that the ladder can be turnably swung up and down through the center of the end part thereof in the perpendicular direction with respect to a boat body A. Both a stopper 2 which is held upright when it is folded at the broadside and winches lifting up and down the stopper 2 are attached to a boat construction B. The swing-out work of the broadside ladder 1 can be thereby automatically performed at the broadside by actuating the winches and unlocking the stopper. In addition, when the ladder is folded, the ladder is held upright on a deck, on account of which the folding space for the ladder can be saved.
