PURPOSE:To realize always optimum white balance adjustment by executing once white balance of manual function to correct automatically the shift in initial setting. CONSTITUTION:A camera is set to a white object to turn on a correction SW30. Switches 31-34 are changed over to the position M. An input to an output changeover means to thrown the C0. Outputs YL and R are compared by a comparator 22, and when YL>R, the content of a counter means (a) is increased by 1, the gain of an R-ch gain control circuit 5 is increased via a means (f), a D/A converter 24 to increase the R signal. When YL=R, the content of storage means (c) stored just before the correction SW30 is depressed and the content of the counter means (a) is compared by a numeral comparator means (d), and the difference is stored in a storage means (e). Switches 31-34 are restored to the position A at the M0 side of the means (f) and the correction is finished. Thus, the content of the storage means (e) is added to an external light sensor information to correct the initial value.
