PURPOSE:To improve the output of the engine by a method wherein the ignition timing, capable of increasing exhaust gas temperature suddenly upon high-speed revolution, is obtained to obtain an equivalent effect to the shortening of the length of an expansion chamber in the internal-combustion engine provided with low-speed and medium-speed type expansion chambers. CONSTITUTION:A main circuit (high-voltage energy circuit) 4 is connected to an exciter coil 1a in a generator 1 while the primary coil 2a of an ignition coil 2 is connected to the output terminal of the main circuit 4. An ignition timing control circuit 5, consisting of an electric source circuit (l), a pulse signal generating circuit (m), first and second reference wave signal generating circuits (n, p) and an ignition timing determining circuit (q), is arranged between the pulser coil 1b of the generator 1 and the thyristor SCR of the main circuit 4. A first reference wave signal control circuit (r), converting the first reference wave signal into a gentle slope when a triangular waveform signal, generated with the generating timing of second pulse signal in the pulse signal generating circuit (m), has arrived at a predetermined value or higher, is provided additionally between said circuits (n, q).
