PURPOSE:To obtain a highly concentrated alcohol with a small amount of heat energy, by bringing a mixture of an alcohol and water with low concentration into contact with supercritical CO2 to concentrate it, adding benzene to the concentrated mixture, and distilling the mixture. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of an alcohol and water with low alcohol concentration obtained by biomass, etc. is fed to the extracting column 6, supercritical CO2 (CO2 at >= critical temperature and at >= critical pressure) to it, they are brought into contact, a water extraction reaction is carried out, and the mixture having >=80wt% alcohol concentration is obtained. Then, benzene is added to the mixture in the distillation column 12, and distillation is done, to give an alcohol having >=96wt% concentration. |
