PURPOSE:To facilitate the deburring process for steel strips, etc. which are hot-sheared and to make it possible to automatize the deburring process, by drawing a sheared strip through a die to direct burrs at a right angle to the sheared surface of the strip, and thereafter by cutting the burrs with the use of a cutter. CONSTITUTION:When a jack 23 is operated, sheared strip 22 which has been introduced in dies 11a, 11b in a drawing device 10 is moved leftward, burrs 25 extend in a direction substantially orthogonal to the sheared end face 24 of the strip 22, as burrs 25a indicated by the phantom line, due to a semicircular hole formed in the sheared end face 24. This sheared strip is set on a cutting device 30 with the sheared end face 24 being substantially aligned with the cutter sliding surface 26 of the cutting device 30 so that both surfaces are made to be flush with each other. Then a hydraulic cylinder 33 is driven to move a cutter 32 to the position of the cutter 32' to cut and remove burrs. |
