PURPOSE:To enable the evaluation of radiation characteristics by easily calculating the same, by setting a neighbourhood filed measuring antenna to the Flesnel region of the aperture surface of an aperture antenna and changing electric field distributions of plural partial regions by a radio wave absorber while calculating the electric field distribution of each part by a detected electric field. CONSTITUTION:The title apparatus is equipped with a neighbourhood filed measuring antenna 1, a receiver 2, an aperture electric field calculation means 3, a controller 4 and a radio wave absorber 5 and the neighbourhood field measuring antenna 1 is placed at the specific relative position opposed to the point 102 of the radio wave absorber 5. When the receiving electric field due to the radiation from the entire surface of an aperture surface 101 is set to Exy and the radio wave absorber 5 is placed at the point 102, the electric field distribution E(x, y) at the point 102 is calculated from the receiving electric field e<delta>xy generated when electric field distribution is changed by radiation condition coefficient delta and it is easily judged where point or region on the aperture surface is present abnormality.
