PURPOSE:To change freely the width of a hardened layer and to prevent the melting on the surface of a work by rotating a condenser lens by a driving device to distribute uniformly energy to the surface of the work. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam machine consists of a laser oscillator which generator a laser beam 1, a condenser optical system 2 which condenses the laser beam 1 emitted therefrom, a lens holder 8 which changes freely the angle of the beam 1 incident thereon and the driving device 9 which rotates the holder coaxially with the beam 1. The angle of the beam 1 made incident to the system 2 is freely changed by such machine and the energy density on the surface of the work is adjusted. |
