The invention is a lock plate for securely anchoring plastic pipes to electrical lines in a corresponding plastic connector. The lock plate is designed to be placed between the outside of the plastic pipe and the inside of the connector. It comprises a flat main section (13) that has barbs at each end between a pair of angled end tabs (14, 16) The barbs are designed to engage with the pipe at one end and with the connector at the other. Together, this forms an axially extending tongue (15 rep. 17) which bends at the ends in the same direction as the adjacent barbs.The invention also includes a method of manufacturing this lock plate.<IMAGE> |
