A method for the surface coating of materials with plane surfaces in which paint(s) and lacquer(s) are applied to the material with plane surface as wet paint in one or more coats, each coat being dried (set) separately before application of the next coat, and in which the total coat thickness of the paint is 40-300 υ m, and a plastic sheet is then applied by lamination directly on top of the warm paint.
