PURPOSE:To prevent deteriorations of insulating ability between a substrate and a conductive film and mechanical strength by covering the border zone between the region provided with pores and the region with no pores and its vicinity with a continuous layer made of a prescribed substance and sufficient in thickness. CONSTITUTION:A large number of recesses 2 to be formed into the network of a screen are formed at prescribed pitches on the outer circumference of a cylindrical electroformed substrate 1 by engraving or the like. The resin 3 to be made a masking material is applied to the whole surface, and polished to leave the resin 3 only in each recess 2, and then, a metal 11' is deposited on the disclosed surface of the substrate 1 free from the resin 3 by carrying out electroforming treatment. An insulating layer 13 and a conductive layer 14 are formed on one surface of the cylindrical screen 11 obtained by peeling the deposited metal 11', and an electrostatic charge generating layer 15, and a charge transfer layer 16 are formed on the other surface of it to form a photosensitive screen 17', or the layers 13, 14, 15, 16 are laminated in succession to obtain a cylindrical photosensitive screen 17. |
