Device for regulating the speed of a DC motor, in which the motor 5 is fed with current via a semiconductor cutoff element 7 controlled by a current regulating system 15, 16, 17, characterised in that it comprises a first comparator 8 for comparing the reference voltage representing the desired speed with the electromotive force of the motor turning under inertia whilst no longer fed with current, the error voltage thus obtained being applied, via a capacitor 9, to a second comparator 15 forming part of the current regulating system, and a means 24 of periodically discharging the capacitor 9 so as to cut the current feed to the motor and thus update its charge value. <IMAGE>
