PURPOSE:To prevent internal short by forming an oxide layer which has no electron conductivity by oxidation of positive active material or negative active material of the surface layer on the surface layer of a positive electrode or negative electrode which is in contact with a faulty barrier part of a solid electrolyte layer. CONSTITUTION:In a solid electrolyte battery, an oxide layer 5 which has no electron conductivity is formed on the surface layer of a positive electrode 2 or a negative electrode 4 which is in contact with a faulty barrier part 3a of a solid electrolyte 3 by oxidation of positive active material or negative active material of the surface layer. For example, a positive electrode 2 comprising a titanium disulfide thin film is formed on the surface of a glass substrate 1, and a solid electrolyte layer 3 comprising a Li4SiO4-Li3PO4 thin film and a negative electrode 4 comprising a lithium thin film are formed on the positive electrode 2 in order. An oxide layer 5 is formed on the surface layer of the positive electrode 2 which is in contact with the faulty barrier part 3a caused by a pin hole by oxidizing titanium disulfide by oxygen gas-sputtering treatment. |
