PURPOSE:To prepare a novel alcohol oxidase having excellent storage stability, by culturing a yeast belonging to Torulopsis genus in an alcohol medium. CONSTITUTION:A yeast belonging to Torulopsis genus and growing at >=35 deg.C, e.g. Torulopsis R-14 (FERM P-3114) is inoculated in an alcohol-containing medium, and cultured aerobically at >=35 deg.C and 2.5-8.0 pH. The objective alcohol oxidase capable of keeping about >=50% of the original activity after the storage for 30 days at about 30 deg.C in the state of solution, can be separated from the culture product. |
