PURPOSE:To make a gap between a head gap surface and a disk minute, and to execute a high density recording by placing a magnetic head at a further downstream side from the downstream end of a rail surface of a slider provided so as to be inclined against the disk. CONSTITUTION:A distance h1 between the upstream end of a rail surface 3 of a slider 1 and a disk surface is set so as to be larger than a distance h2 between the downstream end of the rail surface 3 and the disk surface, and the slider 1 is provided so as to be inclined about 20 deg. against the disk surface. Also, a magnetic head 9 is placed at a further downstream side from the downstream end of the rail surface 3. Accordingly, a distance between the rail surface 3 and the disk 4 is as usual, therefore, a chance of a contact of the slider 1 and the disk 4 does not increase, but on the other hand, a magnetic gap 7 draws near the disk 4. Therefore, a gap between the gap 7 and the disk 4 is made minute, and a high density recording can be executed. |
