PURPOSE:To execute switching of a large capacity with an inexpensive element by connecting plural circuits where a load current circulating diode is connected to a connecting point between a self-extinction semiconductor element and a reactor in parallel. CONSTITUTION:Reactors 41, 42 are connected respectively in series with GTO thyristors 11, 12 being elements possible for self-extinction, the thyristors are connected to a power supply terminal P1 of the terminals P1, N1 and the reactors are connected to a load terminal P2 of the terminals P2, N2. Further, the load current circulation diodes 21, 22 are connected between each connection midpoint and the other terminals N1, N2, and an overvoltage suppression circuit 3 comprising a gapless arrestor 31 and a capacitor is connected between the power terminals P1, N1. Thus, the effect of variance in the switching time at interruption of the GTO thyristors 11, 12 is limited by the reactors 41, 42 to constitute inexpensively a large capacity switch circuit. |
