PURPOSE:To improve the solderability of a stainless steel strip without deteriorating the luster by sticking tin atoms to the pickled surface of the steel strip in a dispersed state, cold rolling the steel strip, and subjecting it to bright annealing. CONSTITUTION:Tin atoms are stuck to the pickled surface of the stainless steel strip in the dispersed state. For example, solder granules contg. tin are projected and rubbed. It is preferable that solder granules of about 40-500mg weight are projected at about 30-75 deg. angle and about 30-300m/sec rate. The steel strip is then cold rolled at about 30-90% draft and subjected to bright annealing. By such method, the solderability of the stainless steel strip can be simply improved without deteriorating the luster. |
