PURPOSE:To reduce the number of work processes in a cabin and promote the automation of production processes by dividing upper and lower bodies across a plane passing through lower end sections of front pillars supporting a fixed roof and rear pillars and fixing these upper and lower bodies in one unit. CONSTITUTION:A body shell is constituted with an upper body 1 and a lower body 2. The upper body 1 consists of the upper portion from a plane passing through lower end sections of front pillars 3 and lower end sections of rear pillars 4 and is constituted by forming a roof 5, pillars 3, 4 supporting it, and part of a cowl 6 in one unit. On the other hand, the lower body 2 consists of the lower portion from the said plane and is constituted with a front body 7, part of a side body 8, and a rear body 9. Therefore, a center pillar is divided into the center pillar lower section 10 made in one unit with a side sill, and a center pillar upper section 11. Accordingly, the body shell is divided into upper and lower portions during an outfitting stage, and works in a cabin can be facilitated. |
