<p>PURPOSE:The titled composition which allows excellent pigment dispersion, and has excellent film properties, adaptability to printing, coating, adhesiveness, and to various processing, consisting of a specified polyurethane resin, a pigment, and an organic medium. CONSTITUTION:A high-molecular weight diol component which has a molecular weight of 700-2,500 and comprises a polyether diol (e.g., polyethylene glycol) or a polyester diol obtained by the condensation of a dibasic acid (e.g., adipic acid) with a glycol (e.g., ethylene glycol), is reacted with an organic diisocyanate and if necessary, a chain extender, thus giving an elastomeric polyurethane resin having terminal isocyanate groups. This resin is then reacted with a halogenated amide to give a polyurethane resin which has terminal groups of the formula (wherein X is a halogen; n is 1-4) and contains 0.1-10 halogen atoms for each 10,000 of the molecular weight of the resin. A pigment and an organic medium, such as a maleic resin, are then added to this resin to give the titled composition.</p> |
