PURPOSE:To resolve the ununiformity of a developer layer in both end parts by setting the magnetic characteristic of front ends of both end parts in the lengthwise direction of a control member, which controls the layer thickness of a developer and consists of magnetic materials, so that this magnetic characteristic can control the layer thickness of the developer more than that of the front end of the center part. CONSTITUTION:Front ends 4b of both end parts of a control member 4 consisting of magnetic materials are formed to a sharp shape, and their magnetic action is made more powerful than that of the front end 4a of the center part. Thus, the developer flowed down from the upstream side of the sleeve 2 is controlled more, and the uniformity of developer crests passing the control member 4 is corrected directly in both end parts without narrowing the space of passage, and clogging phenomena due to dust or the like are eliminated. |
