PURPOSE:To furnish a high strength box type fluoroplastic reticular structural body by a method wherein plates and nets, both of which are made of fluoroplastic, are thermocompression-molded by means of tape-like films of surface modified low temperature adherent tetrafluoroethylene copolymer. CONSTITUTION:The title structural body is manufactured by hot-pressing a fluoroplastic net 4 having a form of the development of a box against a fluoroplastic plate 1 consisting of portions 2, which correspond to the frames of the box in an assembled state,by means of tape-like films (shaded portion) 5 in a form of the development of the box, in each portion corresponding to each face of which windows 3 are provided. The low temperature adherent tetrafluoroethylene polymer film is contact-bonded by being heated at the temperature ranging from 150 deg.C or a temperature, at which the fluoroplastic consisting of the plate and the net does not melt, to the vicinity of the melting point of the film resin. The adaptation of the above-mentioned temperature conditions makes the fixing of the net to the plate possible without developing the fusing of the net and the lowering of the strength of the net. |
