PURPOSE:To reduce an installation area of a device, to shorten the work time for cutting the steel and removing the slag, and to execute them efficiently by providing as one body a steel cutting device and a slag removing device, and also operating them efficiently by one control device. CONSTITUTION:The tip and the rear end of steel are detected by moving a tip detecting truck 8 and a rear end detecting truck 5, and the length of the steel is measured from a moving length of each truck, and a cutting position is corrected. It is cut by a fusing nozzle 6f, and the truck 8 and a cutting truck 6 are withdrawn. Melting and scraping parts 9, 9 are moved to the side of the steel and a melting and scraping nozzle is positioned at the side part of the steel. In this position, a flame is jetted from the melting and scraping nozzle and the melting and scraping parts 9, 9 are moved. In this way, slag of both the steels is removed simultaneously. |
