PURPOSE:To control the yarn count number of a spun yarn according to the preset pattern, by controlling the speed regulator of the driving system of a draft part according to the control data representing the pattern of the particular yarn to be produced. CONSTITUTION:The driving system of the draft part 2 is furnished with a speed regulator 18 to enable the variation of the relative rotational speed between the back roller 10 and the front roller 13. The yarn count number of a spun yarn can be varied in a manner corresponding to a preset pattern by controlling the speed regulator 18 according to the control data representing the pattern of the particular yarn to be produced. Desired variation in the yarn count number can be applied to single spun yarn by presetting the pattern of the particular yarn.
