The electric power tool has its internal current supply leads made of rigid conductors. This avoids the necessity for time consuming wiring operations during manufacture and repairs. The live' conductor (2) is profiled and has tags and sockets or similar to allow the various components potentiometer, capacitor, carbon brushes, stator winding connectors, switch etc. to be plugged or fixed to it without wires. Rigid conductors also simplfy assembly and increase reliability. The rigid conductors are mechanically connected to the inside of the casing of the tool.
