PURPOSE:To obtain a printing apparatus wherein a letter is easy to read and being possible to print with the letter or the like being connected by controlling the spaces between letters according to a blank data provided in a character generater CONSTITUTION:A constitution of a pattern data memoried by a character generater 5 is such that a control code is setted in a 8 bit of A line on a left end, and the data corresponding to letters and numerals are setted in B-H. The data on a zero line among the control code are one of the blank data, and '0' is setted when a a space between a for head letter and this letter is not connected, and '1' is setted when the former is connected. Further, the data on a seventh line are the blank data, and '1' or '0' is setted when the following letter is connected or not to this letter respectively. For instance, the printing and indication can be carried out based on the control code in a called letter, with the space between (f) and (i) being connected, and a letter having a narrow breadth such as (l) or the like being closed up when film is inputted. |
