FOUR WHEEL STEERING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To eliminate a transmitting loss by arranging a through hole on a transverse frame of a car where a rod is inserted to transmit a front wheel steering force to a rear wheel steering mechanism allowing the rod and an input shaft of the rear wheel steering mechanism to be connected in a straight line. CONSTITUTION:A through hole 19 is made on a subframe 17 in the longitudinal direction. And a rod which transmits a front wheel steering force to a rear wheel steering mechnism 10, is inserted into the through hole 19. In addition, the rod 7 is connected with an input shaft 12 of the rear wheel steering mechanism 10 within the through hole 19 by way of an universal joint 20. This configuration allows the rod 7 to be connected with the input shaft 12 in a straight line without being affected by the subframe enabling a transmitting loss of a steering force between the rod 7 and its connecting point with the input shaft 12 to be minimized.
