WIRE ELECTRODE FOR CAN MAKING

摘要

PURPOSE:To decrease the generation of the fissure in a weld zone in the stage of producing a welded can body by mush-seam welding by using copper contg. oxygen at a specific ratio to form a wire electrode for can making to be interposed between an overlap part and electrode rolls. CONSTITUTION:The oxygen content of the copper for forming the wire electrodes 5, 6 to be interposed between the overlap part 3 and electrode rolls 1, 2 in the stage of producing the welded can body 7 by much-seam welding of the overlap part 3 of the body forming the can body 7 is made <50ppm. The generation of the fissure in the weld zone 4 is decreased by the above- mentioned constitution.
